Working on the railbus..
Got a little done on my HOn30 railbus today. Mostly the roof rack, Built out of Evergreen scale strips, it will allow for luggage and chickens on the roof (did I mention I model a railroad on a small Caribbean island?). Next up is a trailer for it, then some paint.
Track Plan
Someone asked for a track plan of my 22nd Avenue Secondary so I whipped one up. Yes, it is drawn in Microsoft Paint. Don't judge.
All track is Atlas Code 83 Sectional. All curves are 18" radius. Turnouts are as noted. I don't know the exact geometry of the wye turnout but it is somewhere near a #5. That is a 19 degree crossing near the center.
Narrow gauge on the Texas Western Model Railroad
I had promised to show more of the Texas Western Model Railroad layout and this time I will take a trip to Colorado and New Mexico for a little narrow gauge. The standard gauge interchanged with the narrow gauge at Alamosa and much of the track there is 3-rail as it was in the prototype.

Re-building the ColdStor module - step by step
Whew! Busy holiday week! I hope everybody had a good one. I managed to climb out of my food induced coma long enough to work on rebuilding the my FreeMoN module this weekend. I took a bit of video illustrating the way I'm going about it.
The first part covers putting together the faceplates for the ends of the modules.

Welcome to the 22nd Avenue Secondary
I've been using MRH blogs for information and inspiration for some time now and thought I'd get involved myself. Hopefully some of what I have to say is useful to someone else.
