Filling in a big gap with a large kitbashed building flat
Downtown Freemantle has a pretty big gap in the scenic backdrop. We need to fill it up somehow, and what better way than a kitbashed building flat?!

Speaker Question
In Mr. Petrarca's current DCC Impulses column, he refers to a 4 speaker installation and shows it in Fig. 4 on page 26. Question: It appears that the speakers are mounted to the plastic base cone side toward the plastic. Are there holes cut in the plastic for the sound to escape or is the plastic sheet acting as enclosure? I am working on a P2K E6 unpowered unit and have lots of room for speakers.... I am contemplating 4 28mm high bass speakers...
Thanks,
Dan
More fascia & valance progress...
Well yesterday I managed to bring both the fascia & valance around the corner of the L&T Branch. Working with the 3mm MDF is really easy, its flexibility and light weight make it great to work with.
The method that I have used to secure the upper valance is working really well and I completed this section in under two hours (ceiling, upper valance & fascia).

Weathering a box car
Hi all,
I would like to share a couple of pictures of my first weathering work. Since it was my first try, I took an old Mehano box car to practice.
Any comment or suggestion will be really appreciate.
