With Apologies to Joyce Kilmer

Progress continues at the Clive peninsula on my IAIS Grimes Line layout. This evening I finished up the Clive Greenbelt, as well as the detail scenery at the Swanson Boulevard industrial park. One of the nice things about modeling a modern-era prototype is that its very simple to match the real thing tree for tree, so to speak. A simple visit to Google Maps gives me my roadmap on what to place where on the layout.

Sierra MOW water car for fire prevention.

I kit bashed this car as a favor to one of my mentors, Ed Petry, who models the Sierra Railroad. Ed has been gracious enough to let me build things for his layout over the years, and paint and weather freight cars and engines.

WWI Layout in 00/009 Scale

As part of the book I recently finished for Kalmbach Publishing, I built a small (3 by 6 feet) layout in 00/009 scale depicting the railroad activity leading up to the Battle of Cambrai.

I hope to have a shakedown operating session in June and a more completed scenery of the West End by that time. Hopefully, we'll be able to produce another video at that time. Enjoy.

Fallen Flag Heralds

Landor Street.

Landor Street is my 9ft x 18 inch switching layout being built for an exhibition here in the UK in June.  Just a few finishing touches to add and the staging yard to complete.  I am busy weathering cement cars at the moment for the Redi-mix plant.

Blocking the BNML

I've been working on my blocking schema for the BNML.

I'll be using a modified Car Card system for traffic forwarding that includes blocking codes based on the TIBS concept as published in Model Railroader.

Scratchbuilt Logging Camp Tents

Logging camp tents I built for a client.  Scale is On30.
