Playing in the locomotive shop Part 2.
"On a late Pacific Northwest summer evening in September 1973, the rhythmic sounds of crickets chirping is interrupted by the low grumbling sound of Burlington Northern C-636 4360 as she sits idling outside the locomotive shop. Her sister 4368 takes her turn inside for routine maintenance".

8111 is still in trouble...
My first ever Lionel didn't come to me inside wrapping paper. I was in 4th grade, and it was at the town dump. A friend of our family saw it, and grabbed it for me. It was MPC era, and appears to be a incomplete, slightly mis matched 1970 "Yardmaster" set. I was going on a biking trip with my family that day, and couldn't wait until I could see the train. I dug it out of the box, and looked it over. Funny thing is, the container it was in was by coincidence a trash can, without a lid. The train was in junk condition. But it was complete. The tracks were rusty.
Snow on the grass
Last Sunday I've put my Snow Diorama in the Car and drove to a hill where I could take Pictures without Houses and Trees in the Background.
My wife took the Chance for a sunbath in the Car because the Grass was still wet :-) Here are the Results.
Little Trees gets a fiddle yard
I recently completed the staging/fiddle yard for the Little Trees and Surfside. This is a simple shelf extension off of the right end, cantilevered over my office space.
IAIS's West End - Drone view of my prototype
Rob Koppert, a railfan in Atlantic, Iowa, posted the drone footage below of some weekend IAIS action at Atlantic. While it's 10 years past the date I model, I really got a kick out of seeing my prototype from this vantage point, and thought others might enjoy it as well. Rob wrote, "I was playing with my new toy on Saturday and shot the Atlantic Rover and CBBI-7 from a different vantage point than normal. I'm using a DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus quadcopter for some videography and this was the first and second flights."
