Can you see it ?
It's right there at the end of the building. A brand new layout from scratch.
It has been four years since the last post and now I am moving forward with the dream!
As this moves along, I plan, that is the key word, plan, to tell the story of the Sun Valley RR. In all of it's gory details, fails, trips, slips and falls. Including the cost. All of them.
63 | The Best Rolling Roads Setup For Multiple Gauges | Initial Thoughts on Digitrax UT6D Throttle
A good model railroading accessory to have for running in, testing and evaluation of locomotive performance is a Rolling Road. But since I model in N scale and HO scale, getting multiple rolling roads can get expensive. In this video, I am going to take a look at what I believe to be the best rolling roads setup for multiple gauges. I will also be providing some of my initial thoughts on Digitrax’s new utility throttle.
Atlas Switch Control Box
Hey guys, so in the ongoing quest to add signaling to Nolan's layout we're to the point that I'm starting to work on the first control panel. Nolan's wanting to reuse his Atlas switch control boxes, despite my efforts to explain that they probably won't interface with turnout decodes like the DS64 or the Team Digital electronics we're going to use. Thus, that leads me to the question of whether you could put DC current through the atlas switch control box.
Some Advice Needed on Benchwork
Hello all,
I am currently finalizing the plan for my future layout. It's not completely finalized yet, but the benchwork will be something along the lines of this configuration:
I would like to use foam as a subroadbed across the entire layout. Is this feasable?
Also, what construction should I use to support it? L-girders, frame, etc.
Need some info
Does anyone know if the new style Athearn SD40-2 power trucks (ATHG63912) will still fit the old Blue Box SD40-2 frame?
Don't want to waste my money if they don't fit.
Thanks
Greg
