Jersey Northern Railroad
Due to a derailment NYS&W SU99 is detouring over the Jersey Northern, here it is departing Franklin N.J. enroot to Port Jervis N.Y. on the Jersey Northern. The Jersey Northern is a freelance point to point HO layout. It connects the NYS&W at Beaver Lake N.J. and Conrail at Port Jervis N. Y., fourteen on line industries generate lots of traffic.
Layout Update: mid-Sep 2015
Over the last few weeks I have been able to complete the DCC wiring for section 3 (aka power district 3) of the main level of the N-Scale ATSF Paradigm Division. There are now 6 of the 8 planned sections or power districts wired for DCC and operational. Back in late August, I spent a day participating in an operational session at a friend's layout in San Antonio. That experience encouraged me to re-look at some of the operational functionality of my layout. Thus the changes were made.
O Scale Scratchbuilt Roadside Produce Stand
I went thru my scrap box yesterday and came up with this idea. Shack and truck flatbed was made from scrap Alder wood. Roof is printed card stock ran thru paper roller (bought at Hobby Lobby). Everything was weathered with chalks.
Iphone4 Loudspeakers
I do not know if it has been pointed out before but Rapido trains are selling the Iphone4 speakers combined with a Sound decoder on their website, this must be an endorsement to the great comments that have been made on here regarding these speakers. I personally have been fitting these in my units with great success and would not fit anything else now and I have purchased a few more while they are cheap because you know what happens when everyone knows.

1:50 Road Grader
I bought this little grader off of EBay with intentions of weathering and re-selling but it looks so good on my diorama that I think it is a keeper. This grader was weathered with sandpaper, chalks (alcohol used as bonding agent) and real dirt. I even shot the windshield with my pin nailer to get realistic broken glass.

Blueprint series reefer
Well it's been quite while since having a chance to post any projects, almost year. We went from being renters to home owners, So we've been busy fixing and painting most of the year.
Having Gall bladder surgery this week has prevented me from doing any heavy work, so it's actually given me a chance to put a couple of kits I have together.
This post is for a Blueprint series 40' wood reefer. This kit is somewhat challenging as it has quite few delicate detail parts. I didn't have any assembly pics to post so just finished project ones.
My first Scenery Attempts
Here are some more photos of the scenery for my club layout. This is all in an 18" by 6" scene with backdrops by backdrop junction. This is still the example module I showed awhile ago but more views.
