The Korea-Brass DCC Equipped Track Cleaner Power Car
Sometime over the course of last spring, I opened up a publication somewhere and discovered a review for a track cleaning car from a company I had never heard of before and have seen little of since. The car itself was reported to be self propelled, with a vacuum all under DCC control. Try as I may, I cannot find the publication to go back to the review, but I did write down the details for this curious contraption, searched for it online when I got home, and saved the link for the impending future where my Enlistment Bonus might make something like this happen.
The End W&N v2
The last two pieces of W&N version 2 were scrapped out, the remains of the old Coatesville. The rail, switches, switch mechanisms, and spikes salvaged and 30" of one piece will be recycled as a temporary bridge between the staging yard and the layout. The rest went in the dumpster. Long live W&N version 3.
Enough of this actual layout building stuff, I now return you to arguing about the nature of the hobby.
Nice to see that I'm not the most negative person on MRH.
Nice to see that I'm not the most negative person on MRH. Seems I have been Trumped by a more negative person than I. I will need to try harder in 2018 to regain my low spot on MRH.

"Universal" Wi-Fi Throttle, Part 3
Have you HEARD the good news?
I think I just accidentally became an MRH preacher... proselytizing the good news of Model Railroad Hobbyist...
I just asked the question, in a Facebook HO train forum, "Now I'm curious... how many here subscribe to Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine?"
The thread has blown up, and quite a few folks say they never heard of it, and just subscribed today!
Help With Erie Refrigerator Cars
I'm actually in the process of replacing my fleet of foobies with more accurate model for my Erie 149th Street Harlem Station layout. Hunting specific Erie cars is high on my list since it helps define the home railroad.
Last photos for 2017
Some photos taken around the CY&P Riverdale sub layout this year are presented here.
Along the SOFCO siding we see an older Kadee Boston and Maine late 50s scheme PS-1 boxcar. A couple of truck drivers are talking it up down the way.
Digitrax Release vs Dispatch
I'm just curious how many of you use the Digitrax Dispatch feature. My understanding is somewhat limited regarding this feature. As far as I can tell, it seems to apply mostly to older throttles that only supports 2-digit addresses.
So, does anyone use this? Or do you mostly ignore it and use release?
