So. Why did the Rockland Harbor area had to go?

Dunakin Tunnel

Dunakin Tunnel is the last tunnel on the modeled portion of the Black N' Blue. If one were actually able to stand on the front porch of Bishop Bros. Mill or  hike even closer to the overlook on Meyer's Rock they could catch a last glimpse of the trains crossing Meeks Canyon and Niner Creek over the Clark Viaduct  before they plunge into the tunnel darkness on their way to the resort town of Fugate.

Backdrop Heights

I'm having issues with deciding the height of my backdrop for the layout. One issue is deciding on if i'll ever add the third deck. So far this stage of the layout has taken me forever so I'm not even sure if adding the third deck is worth worrying  about. If I just keep the deck tht I currently have what is everybody's ideal height. I'm thinking somewhere between 14" to 24" high.

Building a "Clyde Puffer" from a kit in N scale

I recently purchased the Gramodels resin kit for a "Clyde Puffer" for use on my 2mm scale layout. Although he produces predominantly military models, I have used a few of his products and found they made up and painted very nicely. His latest product is this "Clyde Puffer", in both OO and N scales.

Why I model the MEC

Hi, my name is Markus!

So this is me, the guy with the summer suit standing next to the “Roter Pfeil” – “Red Arrow”. Actually it is the “Doppelpfeil Churchill”, RAe 4/8  # 1021. The photo was taken at Zurich Main Station, about 6 or 7 years ago, right before I boarded.

Bobs Bog

In the tradition of Furlows Slough and Lewot Bog by Art Curren, I bring you "Bobs Bog". Why Bobs Bog? Well, my late brother was named Bob and he was an avid hunter an fisherman so I think he would have appreciated it and considered what he might find living in it. Besides, it just fits!

This whole project resulted from a small uncovered gap in the benchwork  in an otherwise relatively flat area. It was a fun little distraction from other areas and still in process is the proverbial hobo camp and fire very nearby.

Mail Call - August 13, 2019

Hey guys, made the trip to a couple hobby shops while visiting my aunt and thought I'd show you the small but very cool haul I made.

Amherst Railway Society layout

Amherst Railway Society is finally building a club layout after 50 years. It's a very simple 2-track loop.

In 1 1/2 inch scale.
