Model Railroaders videos on YouTube and The New YouTube Membership no more Free Lunch?
Model Railroaders videos on YouTube and The New YouTube Membership,
There is sort of money crunch needed by content creators or people that are serious about producing Model Railroad video content.
But there is Hope....
Sorry for the delay but there is Hope. A fellow in your group does stuff like this and has taken a CD for doing the final steps. Hope to put something out there. Once there is a reasonable video of the Conn River Line...I'll start working on a tour of the St J and LV.
The St J is currently truncated just west of Morrisville. I have not yet solved the electrical intricacies of putting a turnout in to one of the mainlines that run through the relevant section....which would allow access to a plausible west end.
HO Scale Shelf Layout 29 Jan 2019
Hello, I have recently started working on my shelf layout in my garage again and have decided to change up the scenery. I have removed the background trees and replaced them with an industrial warehouse background buildings. I am not sure of what industry I am modeling at the moment but I am leaning on more of a food processing industry. Please feel free to comment and check out my Youtube and WordPress blog

Cornhill and Atherton - Operations
I haven't posted in a while due to lots of reasons but I have recently found the time to return to model railroading.
My last blog "Cornhill Town" is incomplete, but this is due to the huge amount of detailed work required to scratch build all of the town structures. I haven't got enough Mojo to re-start that project, but the prospect of finally getting round to operating the C&A was an exciting opportunity.
Adding Encoder to Older Walthers Turntable to Support Indexing with PID Control
The old Walthers non-indexing turntable kits uses a 12V DC motor to position the bridge requiring eye balling to align the rails. The motor has a worm that drivers an intermediary shaft which in turn has a worm that drives a 4" gear attached to the shaft connected to the bridge. Newer indexing turntables use a motor in the bridge to turn a gear at the end of the bridge aligned with the ties molded into the pit. A quadrature encoder attached to the motor is used to determine position, along with an opto-coupler in the end of the bridge and pit wall used as a reference point.
The Mud Bay & Western #4 - Skyboards and Backdrops
So now that the benchwork is roughed in, I need to address the skyboard situation. I figure it will be easier to work on these before the door slabs are fastened down so now’s the time.
Christmas visit of Miniaturwunderland
Last Christmas, I travelled with my family to Hamburg, Germany, where I lived in the 1990s. Being in Hamburg always means to pay a visit to the Miniaturwunderland, the biggest model railroad exhibition layout worldwide. This time, we concentrated on the nicely detailed Italy section.
The Devil is in the Details (Help and inspiration please!)
I've hit a rater frustrating period of inactivity on my layout construction because after reaching my goal of having what I consider "base level scenery" over the entire pike, I can't seem to get going on details. I'm just not finding the inspiration I need and I don't know why. The two big areas that I want to get going on are pictured below.
