Well 4 revisions later and I think I finally have a plan that will work. What's changed?

Yard moved to the front for easier access.

Extended yard lead

Extended run around on peninsula

Adjusted interchange to make it easier to move cars in and out

Moved team track off peninsula to open it up a bit

Just finished laying track on my 12’ x 2’ switching layout and getting ready to wire, weather and ballast the track.  Had to add an 8” section of track to cross the joint of the two 6’ modules and move the switch further forward.  Atlas #6 turnouts used for the entire layout.  I also decided to stretch the top industry track to the end on both sides of the modules.  I used two window latches to join the two sections, which worked out better than expected.  It will be part of a larger layout in the future.

While working with the Rapido CN RS-18, one of the ways to push the motor was to run at increasing larger grade levels.  These results were different than expected based on what has been implied in other discussions.  To get a better understanding of this, a series of experiments were devised to see how this engine would compare with others.  A side benefit of this exercise would be actual data on how there engines respond to changes in

Several evenings of television netted me 9 tree top armatures. I spent Sunday giving them trunks and foliage and planted them on Monday. Just below the tracks I am getting ready to build my first town, but I figured I'd better give this hill some personality first so I'm not reaching over the miniature inhabitant's homes and shops...

Well as some of you may be aware, I am starting to tear down the current Johnstown & Maryville in preparation for a move to a new house. While its always hard to demo a layout, the new space, a FULL basement, will give me a chance to go 12' x 16', possibly as large as 12' x 20'! Thats almost double the size I have now.

To give an idea of what I have planned, here are some conceptual designs of what I am planning. This is the 12' x 16' design.

during the last few days I continued with the work on my narrrow gauge layout. I applied some static gras, and planted some seamoss trees. I also poured in the water in the little creek. I used my method of applying window color cristall clear contour paint. Usually these works quite well, but these time I think I have applied the layers to thick. Now the water looks a bit milky.
