You will never know how thankfull I am for the modelers that are in my periphery. I am literally surrounded by amazing artists who are quite satisfied with their art, and less so with fame. To me, it is really humbling to see what the difference is between a wealthy modeler and one that scrapes by with only the tools he needs.

Top Notch Customer Service from Barrett Hill...

Kudos to Barrett Hill. I ordered from Kevin a few times and has always had fast and friendly service. I'm using the "Touch Toggles" on the facia for local control of my turnouts on the main and signaled sidings. I'm happy to report they have worked out great. So yesterday I ordered another DB4 and a power supply. I ordered the base without any touch toggles because I already have 4 in my inventory. A few hours later my phone rings and low and behold it's Kevin, he called to ask if I had forgotten to add touch toggles to my order.

Trenton Subdivision -Grain Elevator and Co-op

The blog discusses how I have incorporated the features of the prototype into my layout.

As I'm planning out my new Siskiyou Line 2, one of the great modern tech developments that I want to use is LED strip lighting.

Here's how I've been conducting my research and how I evaluate the various LED strip product offerings. More details to follow ...

After eleven years

Of living in our post retirement "Dream" house, the wife and I are moving to Florida.  Our house here in Indy sold in three days without being on the market.

The new "dream" house will be about half the size of the Indy house.  My train area will be a quarter of the current one or less.  Should I switch to N scale?

Siskiyou Line lessons learned

Joe Fugate and Backshop host Rick Green discuss the lessons Joe learned on his first Siskiyou Line layout, now being dismantled. Joe wraps up with a sneak peek at how Siskiyou Line 2 will be different.
