Neat stuff! Touch Controls for the layout! - Video

OK Techies, I know you like gadgets.

Some neat stuff we have been working on for layout
Touch Contols for turnouts, enjoy.

n scale train sound system

While ago I had save some sites that developed some products regarding sound for your layout. Somehow I lost those sites and was wondering if anyone knows of any sites that have products that you can attach to your layout for sound. I dont have any DCC locomotives so the sound system would have to be a complete system by itself. One site that I can not find now, had a sound system of a train running on a track. It had a sep board horns. Does anyone know of this site or any like it as I like to add some sound to my layout for my grandkids.

Richlawn Railroad pictures published in the L&N magazine

No biggie for most, but this is the first time any photos of my previous layout have been published in a paper magazine - the March 2014 issue of L&N Magazine.  I couldn't actually post a copy of a photo of the magazine is it might violate copyright laws, but below are the pictures that they published on the page opposite the back cover.

The first photo was taken by my good modeler friend Bob Wheeler.  The photo became my "keystone" photo for the layout; that is, my favorite and most shared.

New start

Hi
This is my first post
I have just started a new layout after migrating from South Africa to Perth, Australia
I have a 8.5 x 6m space
Have completed a complex track plan designed for computer control
This is the first section which is a harbour on the left , lower level station in the middle which will be covered by the upper level main station
All the tracks on the right will be covered by the main station

Previous layout picture included

Smoking HO or O Steam engines.

I have a Gnawing desire to have a Smoking steam engine, that works. I have an older model Lionel that does real well with its smoke, but as it is on a track going around the room above my head I really only get glimpses. But it does work. On the other hand I've purchased two HO models that have me perplexed.

Air brush experience

I have been using  Badger 200 and  Badger 150 air brushes for many years. The 200 is a single action and gets a lot of use. It is getting worn out from taking it apart to clean it. My son Neil uses the 200 and is happy with it, having gone through several. Scott Mason thinks the Iwata Eclipse is better (he used to represent them) There is a big price difference. Does anoyne have experience with both and if so what is your opinion?
