Truss Bridges
Having looked at a lot of railroad bridges (truss bridges in this case) I have noticed that a huge amount of them are "skewed" (well even the none trusses tend to be skewed)
A good example of this is the C&O Bridge(s) at Hawks Nest West Virginia in the New River Gorge.
However with the exception of brass there are no options for this in HO scale that I know of. (the scale I model so that is what I know about)
Scale automobiles
Has anyone done a reasonably comprehensive study of scale automobiles, primarily but not limited to HO?
It seems to me that the scales of cars on the market vary wildly, both within and across manufacturers. Jordan, Williams Brothers, Sylvan, the European manufacturers and of course Minimetals all have models I need but they are all over the map in terms of conformance to scale.
Does anyone know which manufacturers and/or models are closest to scale?
Question: Reporting marks
When did the practice of blocking out other RRs reporting marks/ heralds begin?

And this is why we are losing hobby shops
So, yesterday I score a SW7 Calf (Powered) to go with my IC SW7 Cow(powered). Now the calf is the wrong railroad (B&O), so it needs to be repainted, and BOTH units need to be renumbered.
Good news is the calf already has the white stripes in the correct position for my IC railroad, and the rest of the engine is flat black, except for the numbers.
(And I have a guy to send the pair to for DCC installation.)

Depot kit help
Does anyone know if there’s a structure kit available that would come close to the depot photos attached? I need to build an accurate model of the depot and it would be nice to find a kit that comes close which I could modify for accuracy.
