Old car loosing its decals
This car was made for me by a friend many years ago. He warned me that the decals that came with the kit were not of good quality and now they are starting to just fall off. They are brittle and all the coats of dulcote haven't been able to keep them on. Unfortunately no one makes decals for this reefer. I'm wondering if I can save it by creating a car that is actually loosing its herald. I've seen it in prototypes, but more of a faded or peeling affect not like what is seen on this model.
Any ideas on what to do would be much appreciated.
Can a loco lean to one side stationary?
I've noticed in a video that some freight cars can lean to one side while stationary.. Is thus due to worn out springs in the trucks? Can a diesel be slighty leaning to one side parked?

Modern Day Critter
Ok, who's going to be the first to build one of these modern day critters for there layout?

I think my On30 Critters just met their death knell.
The drive train. A DD40 four axle truck was used under the shell. So I'll make a four axle modern critter in HO this time.

Quad Cities 3rd Annual Model Railroad & Memorabilia Show.... SEE VIDEO!
Here's a video I threw together of our local train show last week. I set up my portable American Flyer layout for the show and needless to say it was a huge hit for the kids. The show was a big success in part by the low admission fee of only $3 dollars with kids under 12 FREE!

Those Dirty Little Elves
Yup, they did it to me again. Spammed my thread question on Taskboard ties strips as to whether they would warp if they got wet.

platform height?
What was the standard station platform height? Its difficult to tell by photos.
Temporary Wire management
While I'm wiring under my layout I want to keep everything neat and organized. When I'm done I use cable ties, but while it is a work in progress I still want things kept kind of together.

Wayfreight Video on the Columbia & Western
Hi everyone:
With the recent completion of the last major bridge on my model of CPR's Boundary subdivision, I thought it was worth the effort to video document what running a wayfreight on the mountainous C&W is like. I tried using the small Looxcie camera to capture interesting views and its small size certainly does allow for interesting trackside and "on train" angles.

How cool! This is what I saw coming back from lunch today! (4/3/14)
I was crossing the tracks today in Apopka, Florida coming back from lunch when I happed to look right (always look both left and right!) and there sat the Cannonball train! I took a couple of still shots hoping that the train would depart which it did just as I was headed back to the car. I shot this video with my iphone thus the less than stellar quality.
Train show questions
We in the Vancouver area of British Columbia are looking to grow and change our Train Show that some have felt has become stale. I've never seen a thread discussing train shows other than advertising. So as an assist to us I have some questions about the show in your area, some things you do well and maybe not so well will help us to make our show better. [Note: if you aren't comfortable naming the show your are discussing then don't name it, I don't need to know the specific show, more the details of the show]
