Modeling general discussion

Weekly Photo Fun - November 14th to November 20th
I haven't started a WPF thread in quite a while, but here goes! This won't hurt a bit.

More LED lighting
I am interested in LED layout lighting but not general area lighting. I'm at the beginning of a modest layout (11' x 14') and would like to add LED lights to building interiors as I create them. When I started the benchwork, I installed a lighting buss next to the DCC buss but have not found any articles about general approaches to interior lighting using a buss and LEDs. I tried a product (forgot the name) on my last layout that had modules to drive small 1.5v bulbs but found they were not bright enough. I would be most interested in any articles coverin

ISO Magazine Back Issues
I am about to model three CPRail SD40-2s from Athearn models.
I am looking for the following magazines.
I am happy to pay a reasonable price.
September 2002 Model Railroading
March 2001 Rail Model Journal

Selling Stuff
I know this has been brought up before. I did a search or at least that was my intention and it came up empty.
So where are the best places to sell old stuff? N-scale possible collector stuff and old HO goodies.
I know about e-bay. Looking for other possible places.
Thanks, Jack
Rememberance...
Nov 10th 1975 the Edmund Fitzgerald went down with all 29 crew lost.
A call for rememberance/moment of silence/prayer.
TIA

removing ballast
I need to remove some ballast from the inside of my n scale tracks on my layout as apparently I did not do it right because my cars are jumping track at times and the locomotives are stalling out in places. Any suggestions on how do this as it (ballast was glue down)?

Idaho Free-mo
With a recent change in jobs and relocation to Idaho I have found myself living in an area void of Free-mo groups. So, I have decided to start one here out of Lewiston Idaho. I am encouraging anyone in Idaho, Eastern Washington and Western Montana to drop us a line if interested.
I have created a Webpage, Facebook and Yahoo Group. They are all very new and fresh and I plan to fill them out more in the near future.

Lots of interesting photos
I got this link from the Monon Historic-Technical Society forum.

John Barriger was an executive at multiple mid-20th-century railroads and a prolific photographer. Lots and lots of really interesting photos of "his" lines on the page, for study and/or inspiration.

What's on my workbench (pallet) this week - Completed!
**** UPDATED 11-12-14 **** I've completed the painting. Please check the posting further down in this thread
My apologies that this post isn't exactly a model railroad subject; however it's closely related. You see, a few months ago I attempted to hand paint the backdrop for my Richlawn Railroad. I couldn't paint one to my satisfaction, but the experience ignited a desire to paint within me. The idea wasn't to replace model railroading with painting, but to have an alternative hobby that I enjoy.

What people want to see?
Hey all,
I'm trying to decide on a new video to do for my YouTube channel.
I'm just wondering what people want to see? I was planning to do some more scenery type videos, taking a closer look at dirt roads and dusty old yards, or maybe on making cheap pine trees to fill a large area.
I've been curious about grade crossings for a while..... not really sure!
Any ideas? or just some things you would be interested in seeing?
