Tucson Hobby Shop?
Can anyone recommend a good model railroad shop in Tucson?

Replicating 4' fluorescent lights in HO
Has anyone ever replicated the look of 4' fluorescent lights commonly used in businesses? I've been trying to come up with a way to allow light through a translucent cover and then have two/four brighter strips of light showing. I've been working with various masks but it just ends up creating shadows. The best I can come up with is a milky white rectangle with slots cut in them. This is for the full LED to come through. Then have another translucent cover over all of that.

Put yourself into your layout?
I came across this outfit in a San Jose mall (Valley fair). http://web.twindom.com

Dimensions of Alco Cab in HO Scale needed
I'm working on some decals for an FRV RDS15 but I don't have shell to scale the photos to.
Can anybody tell me these 2 dimensions from an HO Scale Cab?
- Height to under edge of roof (flat portion of cab)
- With of cab side (most important)
Thanks!

Overhead wires and lack thereof
As I work my way through the process of building a layout, I've been reading lots of books, magazines and online content.
Why is it the vast majority of layouts have no overhead wiring to speak of? With all the laser cutting, CNC, Shapeways, etc., that is used today to create even more detail on layouts, there are still electrical meters (when someone remembers to add on) with conduit that runs up the building and no service from there.
Las Vegas, NV - HO Scale
Hello Everyone:
I am new to Las Vegas and have been a life long HO scale modeler. Is anyone aware of any HO RR clubs that may exist here in Central Nevada? The RR modeling population seems few and far between here in the desert. Anyone out here? Happy New Year.
