How to hold sides square when assembling boxcar?
How do you hold the boxcar sides square and tight to each other while gluing?
Assembling boxcars from flat packs is new to me. It seems best to hold all 4 sides in position at once. This may be wrong.
The Rite-Way clamping system at MicroMark is good but it seems too big to fit inside a boxcar when assembling the last side.

Couplers: The Dreaded Question...
I know this question has been asked and answered many times - so many that some of the products and companies mentioned in forums are long out of business. I also know that the standard answer is to spend the money and buy Kadees. That's fine unless your funds are limited and you have to choose between couplers and, say, track.
Please take a moment to give me "customized" advice that suits my particular situation.

Scalecoat II + xylene (or other)?
I've been doing a little reading on line and finding (not surprisingly) conflicting opinions. I know there are some excellent modelers here with plenty of experience, so I'd like to see what you have to say.
New to MRH
I should have introduced myself before starting to post stuff, but the modeling and photography on this site was so inspiring that I got ahead of myself. Sorry about that.
Where are the Amherst Pics?
Hey where are the Amherst Show pics, I'm whining and complaining from a far in wet coastal BC or I'd take the pics myself. Nice PR plug on TV I just watched on the net:

Train layout software for the Mac
I am in search of a train layout software that will run on the Macintosh.
I only need a simple one, enough to design a shelf layout.
Thanks in advance.

Fort Meyers / Cape Coral, Florida area
I plan on visiting the Fort Meyers / Cape Coral, Florida area, are there any good shops (HO) or layouts etc. to visit while in the area?

Visiting Michael Rose's Layout today
Today the Mrs & I visited Michaels home for two reasons: 1.) To have his award winning steak dinner; and 2.) To see his layout progress. Notice the order of the two reasons! After a visit of the layout (sorry, no pictures....I was distracted by thinking about the steaks) we headed to the house for a visit and dinner.
