Trains and music...
Yeah... so there's not really a good category for this...
There have been a couple of regular posters here that have "outed' themselves as professional-grade (if not actual working) musicians. Let's see what we can find - original or otherwise - of music and/or videos with a train theme somehow involved in them. I'm sure we all know about the Orange Blossom Special and Chattanooga Choo Choo.... let's take them as given and go from there. For example... (see next post...)

Decal setting solution. What is your preference? And Why?
So I've been back to painting locos and rolling stock lately. I have been using various decals from my scrap box and new sets as needed for a few projects that have been on the back burner. My question is, 'what is you preferred decal setting solution and why? reason I ask is that I have been using Walthers Solvaset for a number of years with fairly good results however, I also have been restoring a bunch of older decals using Microscales Liquid Decal Film with very good results so far. Is there a better decal set out there? I haven't used Micro Sol

Tomato Trailers
There was a post a number of months ago discussing tomato tubs and I can't find the post anymore.
Anybody know where it is?
Fast Tracks jig question
I am a true believer in the Fast Tracks jigs. I purchased 7 of them over the years, using them to build over a 100 of various types of turnouts. I am currently at a place on my layout, the passenger station throat, where I have a double crossover leading into 2 double slips. I have the jig for the slip switch as I have a need for a few of them. I only have the need for one #6 double crossover. I just can't justify the $150 cost to purchase a jig to be used just one time. Is there a secondary market for these? Maybe a rental,or barter?

Gluing Rubber
Hello All.
Im needing to glue a piece of pure rubber floor mat, about 1/16 thick, to a solid wood floor. The piece of rubber is about a 3x6 inch piece. What is the appropriate glue to use? it is a static display only, and no handling will occur!

Harbor Freight - Nice Digital Calipers Cheap!
Heads up everybody - If you've been looking for decent digital calipers to help out with your modeling, Harbor Freight has some 6 inch calipers which can display in SAE (Standard), Metric and Fractional units for $9.95 (if you get their spiffy monthly circular) or $15.95 just on sale. Either way, it's a nice tool for a good price. I bought two of them this afternoon myself.

A MRH ebook "How To" with multiple authors?
One of the many things I like about MRH magazine is that on some subjects they will present multiple contributors on how something is done. For example, let's say the subject is static grass. Multiple methods would be presented such as "Mr X does so-n-so to add static grass, Mr. Y does it this way, and Mr.

Machining of 3D printed plastic
I recently purchased some 3D printed locomotive cabs off eBay. The seller had molded on mounting bosses to drop the cabs onto a Bachmann F7 chassis. Problem is Bachmann made two different F7 chassis. The one the cab was designed for and the one I bought. I now have to remove 4 mounting bosses that are approximately 1/4"x1/4"x1/2" that are against the sidewalls of the cab and the roof. I found an Xacto chisel blade would take off a sliver at a time but I have a lot of material to hog out.
