Here's a Christmas train video of my Marx & American Flyer trains I shot this year. I believe the engines are circa late 30's.

Prototype Rails meet at Cocoa Bch, Fl - who's going?

I was just wondering who will be attending the Prototype Rails event on Jan. 8th, 9th & 10th.  I won't be there the entire time but hope to meet any of you that will be attending.  http://www.prototyperails.com

Very Cool Commercial

I don't know what I like more about this commercial; the fact that it was done all in-camera, one take with no CGI effects or all the cool model making.  Nice to see the craft aspect of the hobby portrayed so well (the idiot hipster in the Che t-shirt at the end notwithstanding).

Cornhill & Atherton - first video attempt

Ok – first effort at making a video, with a view to getting some feedback to help me improve.

Equipment is a Nikon D5100 and a very old Sanyo Exacti (for the 'in cab' shots) with Sony Movie studio 13 to process .

There’s no attempt at a story here, just a montage of photos and video clips to ‘cut my teeth’ and get some idea of how things work.

Spam

The other night I was reading and I think instead of hitting reply I hit the spam button on s post or two. This was totally inadvertently as I would not do that intentionally. If your posts are missing it may have been my clumsy  fingers. contact Joe maybe he can fix it, I am truly sorry.

Weekly Photo Fun - December 26th to January 1st

Time to start up this weeks photo thread!

As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!
