Custom Layout Builders

Hi Everyone,

Over the past year, I just haven't had time to devote to getting the layout really going.  I've got the benchwork done and the mainline is laid, but there's so much more to do.  I'm considering hiring someone to do the work of getting the layout to a point where the track is laid and the rolling stock is operational.  I have no idea if there are companies or individuals who do this sort of work?  If there are, then I wonder what the pros and cons are having such work done?

Your thoughts?

Monon Modelers

I'm asking this question out of my own curiosity. How many Monon modelers are out there in Model Railroad Hobbyist land? If you care to identify yourself that is great. I live in North Central Indiana.

Thanks

A look at Free-mo and Modular layouts - at the train show

One of my favorite things in model railroad life is train shows and modular layouts. In this latest video we take a quick look at both.    Joey

Reducing the Minimum Radius for Steam Engines.

I have run across a few comments on other websites that I never heard of to allow a model steam engine to run a tighter radius.  I wanted to know if this is more common than I think.

The example I will use is a 2-8-0 say in On30, but I guess it could be any scale and include 2-6-0s.  From the manufacturer the arrangement is the outer axles have flanged drivers while the two middle axles have blind drivers. I hope I'm describing this correctly.
