N-scale Peco Turnout issue
N-scale. Using Peco live frog turnouts, Peco switch machines, and the add-on (PL-13 Accessory switch) that does frog current switching automatically. Testing on bench was all good. Then after being put in layout, would not work. Apparently, the bottom current switcher, PL-13, was causing binding.
Prusa 3D Printer videos for Model Railroading
I was researching 3D printers today, and stumbled into this three part series from Prusa. Interesting series, regardless of the 3D printer type, or whether or not it meets the criteria of an individual's modeling standard. It is just amazing how far this technology has come in a very short time, and this is the first time I've seen an actual printer company apply the technology to the whole facet of model railroading.

Coal Power Plant Slag
My grandfather's farm was right along the Ohio river, rich bottom land that would flood once in a great while. At some point they built a coal power plant a ways downstream from his farm, and the power plant people came through and bought up a lot of land, including his farm, and the family moved "into town" (population about 3000).
Merging roads into the backdrop
Merging roads into the backdrop? Just posted a video on merging a road and mainline tracks into the backdrop. The preview below is NOT how it looks on the layout. Check it out.
Smartphone camera experiences
I am planning to replace my current smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S5) and I would like to hear other model railroaders experiences with smartphone camera use.
Thanks,
George
