Modeling topic

NRSL 2

What it looks like today 3-9-2020In late 2014 Tony Koester asked if he could use the first photo in his “Train of thought” column in “Model Railroader” The photo ran in the February 2015 issue.  The second photo is of the area today. In the fairness of full disclosure the first photo was taken in August of 2014.

N scale coffee table

Does anyone know where I can get plans to build an N scale coffee table layout? I don't need so much help with the track layout, but looking for plans to build the table or any advice.

Thanks-Tim

Tree Tunnels

Creating a tree tunnel

In addition to my modeling another interest ( obsession ) of mine is my motorcar ( speeder )..

On a trip in New England a few weeks ago I noticed sort of a natural phenomenum that I don't believe I have ever seen modeled. I call it  tree tunnels where the trees have grown along side and over the RR right of way through the woods to create long stretches of essentially tunnels through the forest.

Has anyone ever modeled such a look on a layout...???? Looking for some possible pic's.

Thanks

BLI steam wiring question?

Facotry Direct Trackmobile conversion question

I have picked up a Factory Direct Trains DCC Trackmobile on eBay for a very reasonable price.  It only comes with a single working knuckle coupler.

Has anyone come across or completed a conversion to add a second coupler so it can work from both ends?
