Has anyone converted a Bachmann HO 2-truck Climax to an oil burner?

Has anyone converted a Bachmann HO 2-truck Climax to an oil burner or know of a link to any discussion of how they may have gone about this?  As far as I can tell the latest iteration of this loco doesn't include parts to do this.

SOLVED - Could use some help finding disassembly instructions - BLI NYC Hudson (2002)

After two hours of Google and YouTube searching and checking out the BLI website, I cannot find a manual for disassembling the BLI Hudson. I believe I had it at one time but now can't find it. Specifically, I want to get at the wiring in the engine because I appear to have a loose wire for the headlight as it it is intermittent. I have removed the LED from the smoke box, tested it, and replaced it and ensured it is not shorting on the weight.

Does anyone have a link to the documentation or a YouTube video?

I believe an earlier repair job of mine is at fault!

Question on Laying Walthers Flex Track

I’m getting ready to lay my flex track starting off the outside radius of the turnout and I have a question to all who read this.  Is it really as easy as spreading the adhesive, putting the track down with thumbtacks and adjusting the ties before the adhesive sets?  Videos I have found are laying flex track on straightaways or using Micro Engineering track that you curve beforehand.

The Camden & Amboy Railroad (C&A) - New Jersey

I'd kind of like to think of this as a "What if?" type of post. For those that have read my post,

Modelling a beautiful wooden platform from early 1900s

Hi! This week I've been making a model of a beautiful wooden platform from early 1900s. The construction is not very complicated or demanding. The total work time for a 700mm platform was about 8 hours including integration on the layout.

Checking my expectations: inexpensive Bachmann locomotives stuttering and noisy out of the box?

I am fairly new to HO and recently ordered a couple relatively inexpensive Bachmann locomotives. I have a two other locomotives, both w/ DCC sound, and both run pretty smoothly. These two, however, have me wondering if they are bad eggs.

The first is the 2-8-0 Consolidation, DCC (no sound). I have to turn the throttle up a good bit before it lurches forward, and then while rolling at slow to moderate speeds it stutters badly repeatedly, at the same point in the rotation of the drivers. The motor also hums quite a bit before it starts moving.

Back to Basics DC Walk Around With Memory

Im thinking of going back to basics with layout control. My layout is a simple single track branchline. The locomotives on the layout will be mainly Geared steam brass hence my desire to keep it simple.

Im looking to build 2 controllers that are DC only but with memory for continued operation when un plugeed and moving to the next point of the layout.

Does anyone have a simple DC control schematic with memory that they can recomend?
