Multiple Staging Areas & access to them (perhaps sub-loop in the helix)

I'm designing a new double-deck layout to fit inside my 12x16 'train shed'.  It will have an 'outdoor' helix structure,... outside the main shed, but in its own enclosure.

It will have shelf's on either side, and a peninsula. For the longest time I had been planning for a 6-8 track staging area to be located approx 8" under ONE of the side shelfs,...perhaps like this

Atlas master to trainman compatibility

I have a quick question. Does anyone know if the Atlas Trainman GP38-2 Shell is a drop in fit for the Atlas Master series GP38 chassis with sound?

Thanks,
Shane

Was looking through YouTube, mainly lookign for ideas, as you do.

Came across this user. Yes it is modern era, and most people on here prefer Steam. But his rockwork is outstanding  IMO

Round house on the Great Northern Railway, Minot, N. D.

The Great Northern Roundhouse was built at the North end of Main street  & the Mouse River (AKA the Souris River) in Minot, North Dakota. By 1904 it was a half circle with 21 stalls for locomotive repairs and service.

Great Northern Railway (Gassman Coulee Bridge), West of Minot, North Dakota.

The Great Northern Railway arrived in Minot in the fall of 1886, when they called a halt through the state
for the winter, after having issues constructing a trestle across Gassman Coulee. At least until the trestle
was built, and Until the spring thaw arrived anyway. When trains arrived in town the conductors would call out

"Minot, this is Minot, North Dakota, prepare to meet your DOOM."

Not a very friendly announcement to those just arriving for the first time, if you ask me.

Consumers Power Company (CPC)

A short history

It all started in 1909 when an engineering apprentice of Thomas Edison's, H. M. Byllesby formed the Washington County Light & Power Company, a subsidiary of his utilities conglomerate, Consumers Power Company. Between 1912 through 1915, H. M. linked power lines around the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. enlarging his customer base from a few thousand to 48,000.

Help with configuration of Hare stationary decoder using LENZ DCC

Has anyone had any experience configuring a HARE stationary decoder with a Lenz system? I used to do this in my sleep but have forgotten how I did it. Yes I have read the manual and no it isn't helping me.

Arduinos on Turntables

On m layout I have two Peco Turntables (N Scale).

It was suggested that an Arduino setup would be what I needed. I am a 100% Arduino newbie.

One turntable is simply to change direction of the locos coming and going from Elora.

The other turntable is in Orangeville yard and has 18 spokes.

What is required to automate these turntables?
