1:43 radio control mobile crane for Denton Brook
Having made a working gantry crane for transferring loads between bartiw gauge and standard gauge, I thought it might be fun to have a go at a mobile crane. I have already converted a number if die-cast lorries to radio control, and thought it might be possible to do a crane, which would be interesting working on the layout.
The Blob
Now that I have gotten the fascia added around the layout I am working on getting the support structure for the upper level on the peninsula roughed in. a 2x3 wall down the center of the peninsula will provide the support framework for the upper level. As well this wall will let me add shelving under the layout to clean up some of the stuff under the layout – hopefully.
Foamcore benchwork - using foamcore beams
I recently joined the forums and became an MRH subscriber. I posted a couple photos of my small Maine-themed HO layout (in progress) in the Small Layouts thread.
My benchwork - mainly a flat tabletop for now, but with some lowered cut-outs, and hills that will be added in the future - is made mostly of foamcore. This is the thin 3/16" stuff, used for poster backing and such.
I made "box beams" out of foamcore, assembled them into a rectangular frame, then glued a foamcore skin to that.

Details West grade crossing wiring
I’m looking for someone who can wire up the Details West CS-913 Grade Crossing Signal With LED's
if anyone knows someone who will do the wiring for a fee please let me know. The wiring is to small and hard for my skill level right now but would like to get some on my layout.
