HoN3 / HoN30 Dual gauge track

A couple of questions:

  1. Is Blackstone the only company that makes HON3 gauge (DCC) equipment.
  2. Is micro engineering the only manufature on Dual gauge HO/HON3
  3. How easy is it to convert Bachmann HON30 to HON3.
  4. Does any one make dual gauge H0/HON30 track / switches

CNR new nose herald on FA2s

Does anyone know when Canadian National Railways introduced the new nose heralds on their FA2s? And when did they remove the external bell on the roof?

Layout Progress Video #1 - Surveying the Space

Here is the first of many new videos for the new layout progress series I've started on the new MFR. I wanted to take a moment to share the space and my plans for preparing the room for the layout.

Problems repainting hi-end models.

Are we reaching the point where we can no longer repaint or adapt current production models? I am trying to dis-assemble an Athearn Genesis GP9 in order to convert it to another road name. The hood is glued to the walkway, trapping the cab, with its sliding windows into a single assembly. This will make it extremely awkward to repaint.

Big time DCC novice

This is my inglenook before it was scenicked.

It was relegated to display purposes about two years ago,

but now I want to set it up to be wired for DCC. It has a Peco Code 83 Left Hand Turnout insulfrog and a Peco Code 83 Right Hand Turnout electrofrog.

Air brush tip

I recently purchased a Paasche VL airbrush as an replacement for my Paasche “H” airbrush. The new airbrush came with three needles and tips (#1, 3, and 5). My question is for general airbrushing (locomotive shells, buildings), which size tip should I us to obtain best results?
