Roomettes lighting are now available

Three weeks ago I launched my new product, Roomettes, at the Amherst Railroad Hobby Show.    Today we launched the website!        https://roometteslighting.com/

I am now able to take orders for Roomettes online.  To celebrate I'm offering free shipping on orders of two or more kits.  Also, there is a special offer for anyone who wants to go crazy and order all 10 kits.

Acrylic Paint - thinning and other additives

Now that our old reliable Floquil is truly gone, I have been looking at various acrylic paints for airbrushing. More specifically, the craft acrylics from Michaels, etc.  Many of the posts I have seen recommend adding retarder to the mix of paint and airbrush thinner. Those of you who have mixed up Joe Fugate's "High Performance Thinner" will know that the retarder from Liquitex or Golden is very thick.

How to Repair a Bachmann Climax

Bachmann has made several versions of the Climax Locomotive in HO scale and On30. They have made a 50 ton 2 truck version and a 70 ton 3 truck version. While these are well detailed locomotives they all suffer from problems with the drive train. The latest versions of these locomotives use metal gears and seem to be fine, the older versions used plastic gearing and, I suspect, that pretty much 100% of them have failed in some fashion.

Lost Instruction Sheet

Anyone have an instruction sheet for the Proto 2000 HO 10,000 Gallon Type 21 Insulated Tank Car? Could you give me a PDF of it? Just not sure where all these tiny parts go. Thanks in advance.
