Print your own cover for bulkhead loads
I recall reading an excellent article on MRH that described how to print your own load cover for bulkhead loads. In particular, it was referring to using a piece of balsa wood on a bulkhead car that was covered with thin plastic sheet labeled for one of the lumber companies. I have two bulkhead cars and want to use the graphic for "Idaho Wood Products" but can't find the article. Can anyone help me? I'm probably using incorrect terminology but hopefully it is close enough...

Latest Ideas on Benchwork Without Carpentry or Power Tools for 2019- HO Scale Layout
The contractor is coming on Monday to repair the damage to my office/trainroom ceiling from the leak in February. Long story but unusually heavy rainy season delayed final roof work until a week ago and my town house HOA authorized the ceiling repair.
Back To It on the Michigan Southern
After writing my initial post here, I took a job in the UK and now live in Northwest London. One of the nice things about V-scale model railroading is that there wasn't any packing to do beyond transferring the files to my laptop so I could keep working until my household goods caught up with me. Having carted a good bit of HO stuff with me during my military moves in the 80s and 90s, I found it very pleasant to make a move without any worries about damaged models!
This post will talk about the layout design, with the bulk of the write up and a map in the first comment.
Joe F - Mike Confalone article
Joe,
I saw a wood chip mill in an Allagash RR video and I wonder if you could talk Mike into writing an article on its design and construction. It looks ideal for a wood chip operation on my RR.
Thanks,
Jeff

Modeling realistic cobble stone roads
Hi! I´ve been working on a city scene featuring a cobble stone road. The first part has been completed, so I made a video tutorial of how it was done.

How do you determine that your rails and wheels are really clean?
Joe’s article on track cleaning is a very fine piece of information. It’s well worth reading.

I was just curious about how you determine that your rails and locomotives wheels are clean and that you have good electrical contact. When do you determine it’s time for a cleaning?

Building The NKLR
I have not built a layout of my own for over twenty years as most of my Hobby time was taken up building locos for other people, and also running a small casting company doing detail parts for locos in 1:43 scale. If you haven't already worked it out I am in the UK, and with retirement from working on the full size railway I decided to do something completely different. My workshop is not that big so doing standard gauge was out of the question, but narrow gauge in O scale would work, so ON30 it is(with a bit of O-16.5 thrown in).
