Proto 1000 RDC
Hi to all;
A friend brought me a Proto 1000 RDC to repair ( not running ). When I took the body off I found the first reason why it would not run, it had been converted to DCC, and the main board had been altered.
He wants me to get it working on DC again, I have fixed the cut traces on the board and removed the decoder. There were 8 diodes that have been cut off and two jumper wires installed? I have de-soldered and removed the cut off diode leads.
1/29 Scale Pettibone Speed Swing
I used a HO scale Custom Finishing model as a baseline for upscaling to 1/29. It ended up as a decent model, but made me well aware of the problems of trying to upscale a model.
Anyone interested in a Custom Finishing Pettibone? ;)
The whole idea of building said model was to originally make a hy rail version that was operational. That quickly was thrown out, but I may revisit again in the future with another Pettibone as they always seem to work in pairs.

Bachmann Steam Repair
Have a Bachmann 2-10-4 that seems to bind up.i am looking for someone qualified to fix, repair this unit.This is my first post here and probably not correct so I apologize. Any input?
Repair and clean-up Model Power HO 0-4-0 Fat Boy
I've got a Model Power HO scale 0-4-0 Fat Boy with tender all in pretty good shape. The motor runs well; worm gear is in good. The light works. Cosmetically looks great. Problem is the idler gear/drive gear is stripped and there's caked-on burnt plastic and congealed grease present. I'm looking for a replacement gear as well as some tips on cleanup. The gear is located on the drive wheel shaft and doesn't appear that it can be removed. If that's the case I'll need the gear and wheel assembly. Any ideas/tips?
70 ton hopper decals
Hello,
I've recently acquired a lot of 20 70ton offset quad hoppers that I want to strip and repaint. Does anyone have a good source of decals for these specific type of hopper?
