here is a diagram of my layout. also one pic of the short end. total footage is 26.5 and I have a question. will one power pack run this layout or how do I hook two of them together to have enough power for the engines? thanks in advance. also as you can see in the pic i've added another line
walthers ho blast furnace
Hello to everyone.
I'm new here and i don't want to start trouble but the walther blast furnace floor is wrong. It is a 16 tuyer furnace and the one's i worked on only needed two bottle cars because they only produced one to one and a half of iron. i'm just letting everyone know. I worked at Wheeling pittsburgh steel in monessen,pa and put in 10 years on the furnace's and the only the big furnace produced 3 to 4 bottle cars of iron.

Clarification
On reading the paperwork with my new Digitrak Zephyer system I find that I can attach my two MRC Autopulse controllers to the Jump 1 and Jump 2 positions. Nowhere can I find whether or not the "Momentum" or "Brake" buttons will work in conjunction with the DCC system.
New Layout Design
Hi everyone, it's been a while since my last post, and unfortunately I'm still on the drawing board, but in a better position this time to actually start building this layout! So here's the story. In the image, the 4x8 double oval you see on the right is an existing layout that I want to add on to.

The New Great Western Upper Level Is Operational
The New Great Western upper level bench work, track work and wiring is complete and it has had its inaugural operating session. Success!
DC throttle control with JMRI WiFi question
So, I'm wondering if its possible to control a DC layout with JMRI and a WiFi throttle. No DCC. So, if someone didnt have DCC is there an interface ( Easy and cheap ) that would allow them to use their smartphone to run a train. I have a large scale "Thomas the Tank Engine" train set and would like to use a computer to control it. Also use Virtual Sound Decoder for added excitement. I know VSD can run without DCC so thats not an issue. Would be cool though if the sounds were synced with the throttle.

Finally found a photo of a WWII Halifax Harbour Crane for SWE
Sooo. I must have/make this crane. I've done some preliminary searches and have not yet found a reasonable model that can be used as a starting point for a kit-bash. Any ideas out there or am I going to have to scratch build this thing?
Resaerching the forum
Hello!
I recently started a blog/website (http://h0traindepot.com/) dedicated to H0 railroad modeling. I'm preparing a post about various discussion forums about H0 train models. I decided, that the best route would be to actually register and say "hello" on each forum I plan to write about - I guess it's obvious, but still I'm outlining my motivations.
So - HELLO, I'm new here :)
That said, I'm curious...

Bob's Railroad work session 11-2-11
For those of you that didn't read previous posts, Bob's Railroad is a toy railroad for the children at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. A number of generous gentlemen (for now un-named) wanted to do something special for the children at NE Ga Medical Center which is a wonderful hospital about 20 miles from my home. These gentlemen contacted model railroaders in our area to see if we would be interested in building the layout if they provided the money for the materials. What a wonderful opportunity to help the children and have some fun!
