Making pictures and text larger
In the forum postings to Charlie's Up the Creek - Upper Bear Creek Gets Water Al (tsby_fan) asked if there was a way to enlarge the pictures. Joes suggested using the embedded version, but I have never tried this version. I have always read the magazine in the online version and here is something I came across but, I'm sure I am not the first.

Bob's Railroad work session 11-9-11
For those of you that didn't read previous posts, Bob's Railroad is a toy railroad for the children at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. A number of generous gentlemen (for now un-named) wanted to do something special for the children at NE Ga Medical Center which is a wonderful hospital about 20 miles from my home. These gentlemen contacted model railroaders in our area to see if we would be interested in building the layout if they provided the money for the materials. What a wonderful opportunity to help the children and have some fun!

Freight list
I am working on my list of areas serviced, and will post it here incase I missed something later, but on my list would I put my transfer yard in with the list for my industries? or would that be just what ever cars would be sent over. I am doing the list of what cars and material would be found there, so I am not sure if I should include the transfer

Cheap locomotive options
The cost of model locomotives has doubled and in many cases tripled in the last 5 years. This topic will be for a forum to review low cost units that may be used as a beginners model, or by experienced modelers as a base engine to modify. Models reviewed in this topic should be limited in cost to $100.00 or less.
The new Bachmann F7A locomotive will be the first to be reviewed.

Modern Boxcar Customers
I am sitting here thinking about operations and trying to develop a list of industries that utilize boxcars. Below are some of the ones I can think about but certainly there are others. For example, do boxcars still get loaded at someplace that might make plastic trash cans or televisions and then moved to a big box distribution center or is this all done by truck now? So, this list should include industries served by boxcars in the timeframe of the late 1990s forward.
Here is what I have:

Airbrush Questions
Hello all,
I am looking into getting an airbrush and am rather daunted by the wide selection and varieties.
Anyone have any suggestions for a good quality airbrush for beginners?

Making ho version of welded rail
I have a whack of rail, but I am looking for idea to display continuous welded rail on the side at certain spots around the layout. The only way I know is to solder two sections of rail with a joiner, but then it does not look like the real thing. Does anyone have any ideas? My other thought, that I have seen out there, is to use fishplates (joiners) that the rail used and CA them toghther
Steam Engine Painting Question
I am getting ready to put together a Roundhouse 0-6-0 steam engine kit. The instructions said to paint everything before putting it together. I have two questions.
1. What is the best color of engine black to use to represent a heavily abused 0-6-0 yard switching engine.
2. What is the best technique of painting metal parts? Should I go ahead and paint the side rods and wheels and everything as well before putting it together? I am going to replace the motor with a can motor and a gear box from NWSL.
