Cutting Mat Suggestions

I am setting up my workbench to start making scratch built structures, etc., and would like the community's suggestions for the best type/brand of cutting mats.

What is a recommended size to get .... I'm seeing 8"x5", 9"x12", 12"x18" and up .... but I'm hesitant to spend $20 and up plus for a PVC mat.

Thanks for your input.......

Stall Motors

Good morning.

Thought there were a few postings in the last several days regarding inexpensive but very high quality "can" motors but I cannot find those postings.

Does anyone have a reference for similar in size and quality "stall" motors?

Thanks and regards,

Bart

Schematic Drawn for Trenton Subdivision in N Scale (Finally!)

It has taken a while, but I finally have a schematic drawn of my Trenton Subdivision that I am comfortable publishing. I drew the initial plan before building started, that plan has changed many times during construction. I used AnyRail 6 to design this schematic and is very close to what is actually on the table or will be soon.

TrainSpotter - Improved Design!

The TrainSpotter makes detection of locomotives or rolling stock easy and reliable. Place the sensor where its invisible light beam will reflect off the object of interest and you're done - no time-consuming or frustrating adjustments! Works in all lighting conditions. With discrete under-track installation, this low-profile sensor solves many of the challenges that plague other optical detector products.

The TrainSpotter now comes with a detachable 24" cable and simplified circuitry.

San Francisco Hamm's Brewery - 2

Well, an inquiry about the Hamm's Beer sign has sprouted another project. I seem to have a number of them in the works at any given time. I got a few of the LEDs I mentioned before to see how they would work out and they seem to be perfect for the project.

Help identifying N Gauge loco

This looks nothing like a locomotive but it is self propelling. Any idea what it is?
