clear shelf edging

Hi All, Does anyone know if there are clear plastic strips suitable for attaching to the front of display shelves to prevent trains falling off from accidental contact or derailment? I have some narrow storge shelves that are one track wide and would like something clear attached to the front edge to catch any car that might get tipped toward the edge. 2 or 3 inch wide strips of plastic would be ideal. I can cut strips from acrylic sheet on a table saw but it would be easier if I could find some already cut.  Any ideas? .....DaveB

Grain Modeling - Boxcar Loading

I found a link to a good 15-minute documentary from Canada regarding the spotting and loading of 40' boxcars. It shows a worker using a rail jack to maneuver the car into place (and handbrake), as well as boarding up the door to accommodate the grain. Just figured that some transition-era (or 1980's for you Canadians) modelers might find this useful for modeling purposes. Boxcar segment begins at 4:45.

Edit: YouTube Link for the ones who want a YT version.

Will Intermountain Produce N scale Locomotives?

Just a general question to the masses.

Will Intermountain deliver a N scale locomotive any time soon?

I have quite a few on pre order for several years now, and I am sure I am not the alone on this?

Anybody reach out to IM, I have several times and get the same short answer.

I know the factory issue in China set IM back as it did just about everybody else. But since then I have pre ordered and received many other locomotives.

Cables vs. legs vs brackets

I brought this subject up in another thread, and it seemed like there may be some good conversation about the pros and cons of using a cable system VS legs or brackets. I would be very interested in what others may have experienced or considered.
