WWII Service Men & Women in N-Scale?
Hello all!
My N scale railroad is set in the summer of 1945. Something that I think would go a long way towards reinforcing the time period would be to have some appropriate era military personnel hanging around at the passenger station, hopefully they are waiting for their connecting trip home.
I've pretty much scoured the 'net and have come up empty. Anybody out there know of such figures?
Thanks!

YouTube Model Builders LIVE!
We have been working for a couple of months to put this together, it should be a lot of fun! Using a panel made up of several YouTube Model Builders, we all sit on a panel and discuss builds and take questions from the people watching. Find out more on my website www.digoxy.com/modelermanmike/liveshow/

Orrville OH Depot
Was in Orrville OH visiting my mother for Mother's Day. We took in the Orrville National Train Day event. Cool mom, huh? Took a bunch of pictures that may be helpful to anyone modeling the area:

Building MRServo: A Look at Our Manufacturing Process
In this post, we give you a glimpse into the process we use to manufacture the MRServo slow motion turnout controller. While the techniques are vastly simplified from that used by high-volume electronics manufacturers, the same basic steps still apply.

Keystone 2 Truck Shay Build
While steam locomotives are completely outside of my normal modeling type and era (modern CSX), I have a long held fascination with Shay Locomotives in particular and logging lines in general.
I therefore couldn't resist the opportunity to buy a Keystone Locomotives 2 Truck Shay Kit on our local auction site.
Help with Steam Loco Sound Installation
Can somebody tell me what I did wrong with this loco wiring? I am installing a Soundtraxx 1000 DSD decoder in an old Balboa brass Southern Pacific Consolidation. The decoder is in the tender and I have 6 wires running from the decoder to the loco. They are as follows from left side of cab to right side of cab as you are looking at the back of the loco:
Right Rail Pickup (Red)
Motor Plus (Orange)
Function Plus (Blue)
Forward Headlight (White)
Motor Minus (Gray)
Firebox Light (Green)
Mounting the water tower
Worked on installing the water tower today.
First mounted it on a piece of foam core as a base and painted a base coat of earth color. I used foam as foundation for small hill and will add to it and cover with vegetation later.
When I first put it in place was a bit to close as the fill pipe would hit the engines, and had to move it back a bit.
