Scratchbuilt Logging Camp Tents
Logging camp tents I built for a client. Scale is On30.
Peco and Atlas Code 80
I'm designing another layout and have decided on using Peco turnouts with Atlas track, all code 80. First question: are they compatible? I was under the impression that all code 80 was compatible but just want to make sure. Also, after a disastrous attempt at trying to use Atlas remote turnouts, I've decided on manual ground throws for the Peco turnouts. What type of turnouts are compatible? Caboose makes several, but I'm confused on which ones to purchase.
Thanks
Tim

Does anyone have experiences with Model Master Railroad Tie Brown versus the now gone Poly Scale version? How does it compare?
Thanks in advance!

Brass tarnish and painting.
I understand that there is a process for preparation of brass for painting. Now my question is what does one do about tarnish? I am new to the possibility of painting my first bare brass engine, however I am not sure what to do about tarnish. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly.
Pierre.

For anyone thinking of building an O scale 2 rail layout in a smaller space
pulp bales
In the last month or so I saw a site which showed HO scale pulp bales on skids. Of course i forgot to copy the supplier info. Does anybody have any clues or is this the onset of oldtimers'?
False Front Building Kit
The next buildings to do is a false front building kit from Bar Mills. It's their "Witzingers washboard Co." kit I plan on making into the United Fruit Company warehouse and offices. I'll try and remember to do photos as I go through the building stage. But first a read through the instructions and inventory the box.

Paul Scoles Layout
It was sad to hear about Paul's passing. I knew Paul for 20+ years, he used to live down here in SoCal when he was in HOn3.
He was a gifted modeler and artist, he used basic techniques on his layout, but they were very effective.
Paul allowed me to photograph his layout about 2 years ago. For those who have not had the chance to see his layout. I have uploaded about 100+ photos to my Flickr account.
