I read with great interest the excellent beginner’s Arduino tutorial by Dr. Geoff Bunza.   See: http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/17244  I decided to experiment.

First, I found 10 Arduino Pro Minis (5 volt) in China for $20.10 delivered to my door.  For $2.01 each, I’ll let a few take one for the team while I learn.

Never written a blog before but always enjoyed writing and sharing the hobby of model railroading with friends.  It's also a good motivator to keep working on the layout!

Things are ramping up. Aside from Easter, Christmas is the busiest time of year for a pastor. I wanted to take a minute out to wish all here the very Merriest of Christmases. I am considering an idea, and wanted to seek some thoughts out. I am having a new layout done for the Ontario Eastern in a 20 x 20 ft room or 20 x 30ft room, and considering doing a small part outside, in the outdoors.  I am HO scale, and this would likely be a seasonal thing only, but wondering what people think or if anyone does this, what are pros and cons...
