Sensor Part Minus 1
Is is a Video on sensors, this is about types of sensors that can be used on both DC or DCC. If you ever wanted to do sensors or add block occupier light on you control panel this is part one of or minus 1. ( I did one last month but this will be a broader look at sensors.) I look at more types but the 4 shown here I think are the most useful. 3 can be used on DC and DCC one is for DCC alone.
Hope this is helpful if you are looking into sensors and what can I use.

Modelling Track - Weathering
Just putting up some of my track samples. Trying to find 3-4 good track formulas. I'm using Valjero pigments, paints Airbrushing doing dry brushing and Washes. Its getting confusing to what looks right and looks good and sort of prototype looking where it of course doesn't look too …well you know ...too educational.

Staging tracks design input needed
In preparation for a several day visit from my almost 3 year old grandson, I have started the work on the staging for the NNE Scenic Model Railroad.
The staging also serve as a return loop enabling continuous operation of the Exeter + Rockingham Junction portion of my layout that now has track laid and wired. That will allow me to run trains in a continuous loop with him, let him press the controller buttons, and hopefully intrigue him with the train leaving the layout through the wall and then appearing coming back in elsewhere.
track bumpers for code 100 track?
Does anyone know if I can get Bumpers for my code 100 track? The ones I have and seen are ugly, bulky and have a red light. Is there anything I can do to make or get something that is not so ugly.

Tortoise switch machine installation
I once read an article on increasing the throw wire diameter on a tortoise switch machine. The article stated by increasing the diameter that better results would be obtain during operation because the wire is more rigid. My problem is that I don’t recall where I read it. Any help in finding this article would be appreciated.
Test Track ++ (O scale Switching Layout instead of a Test Track)
A blog of the construction progress.
Instead of an O scale test track, why not make a small switching layout above my work surface!

Servo control of turnouts
Short story long but I'm Looking for guidance. I have a small HO switching layout. Just the track so far and beginning the scenery rough in. All the track and turnouts are handlaid and I currently have fast tracks bullfrogs for turnout control and powering frogs. I'm thinking I want to add remote control of turnouts with servos. Small layout so I only have 7 turnouts. I see that a tam valley octopus will do 8 so no issue there. I would be using panel mounted dpdt toggles for control, one side to servo other side for led panel indicators.
Code55 turnouts
Evening everyone,
My sons and I are building the dan patch railway from the book 101 track plans. Sent a month or so designing on the computer from the anyrail program. The tracks and turnouts are code 55. I have run into a bit of a dilemma. Standstill. Have been looking for the turnouts p/n2050 turnout but I see that they are sold out or backorder. Would anyone have more information on these
