Trackwork
Gluing down track
I'm just about to start laying track and was wondering what folks use to glue track down. I know Ken Patterson recommends DAP Kwik Seal Plus but that seems to be hard to get here in Canada. What else do people use?

Fine Tuning Autorack Cars
Fine Tuning Autorack Cars
I have been going back and checking sections of track on the bottom deck of my layout in preparation for my FIRST full powered run around the room in a few days (or a week). This has involved soldering up the rail joiners and hooking up all the feeder wires to their bus wires.
How to place guard rails on bridge
I found this modern pic of a bridge with guard rails,
but don't know how they should be placed on my 50's bridge.

Rail Joiner's prices
A bit over a year ago I purchased a whole bunch of Atlas rail joiners packed in small bubble packs of 48 each pk,...code100/83 NS HO. The blister pks were mounted on a 'sheet' of them at something like 6-8 pks per sheet. Somehow I have misplaced them,...just can't find them.
So I thought replenishing my supply and looked for some at this weekends train show. Only one fellow had some and they were priced at $4.95 per blister pack of 48. That's over 10 cents each !!

Arizona Rock & Mineral ballast order delays?
Has anyone placed an order with Arizona Rock & Mineral recently? Any feedback on actual response times? I know their site warns about 21 day processing due to weather issues there, so I expected it to be slow. However, we're a bit past that now and my calls are going to a voice mailbox that's full.
Surface tension on ballast
Hello again,
I have a question with regard to the surface tension on securing ballast. Myself, I use 70% isopropyl alcohol and it works but I just watched a video were they used water and dish soap. If that's the case then I would save a few bucks and use that method.
Has anybody used the water method?
Thanx Steve Klein

First track laid
Got some tracks glued down in Lynn Junction. Test car sees them as smooth. Need to drop feeders now to see if an engine will move. Peco turnouts, mix of Peco and Atlas flex track. Two inches of pink foam on a slightly padded 34" HCD.
Atlas N scale Code 55 five #5 turnouts
Purchased some Atlas C55 N scale #5 turnouts.
Noticed the point rails look rough, anybody else have any issues with the latest run?
I did a rolling test with some freight cars to see if they derail, maybe they will be fine.
Please do not reply with how I need to build my own turnouts, please do not reply this is why I should be in G scale. Please do not reply switch to Kato uni track.

First Tracks Assembled
I've finally started assembling the tracks for my Lynn Junction layout!
I say assembled because I've only soldered them together, they aren't affixed to the roadbed yet. I wanted to get these turnouts put together as a unit to start to make sure they flowed smooth and to have something solid to build from. As I was dry fitting the rest of the junction, these kept falling apart. Now they won't, and I can more accurately cut the rest of the flextrack.
