Locos - Rolling stock (general)
HO brass CANADIAN NATIONAL STEAM LOCOMOTIVE CAB NUMBERS UPDATE
Does anyone have experience with applying HO scale brass numbers to Steam Loco cabs? I have two brass locos and a CNR NW2 that I would like to apply them to. The numbers on the NW2 goes on the front below the grill. I was wondering if I could use the existing decals on the steam locos and just apply the brass numbers over them. I have no dea if this is possible; gluing to a decal.
A brass caboose on the work table
A few weeks ago I purchased this Norfolk & Western caboose of class CG, a model that should run with my freight train of the Thirties with my M2 loco of N&W.
0n30 loco height
What is the height of the typical 0n30 locomotive? Looking at putting in a shared holding yard for the HO and 0n30 railroads. Trains will disappear under a bridge to access this yard.
Loco in question is the Bachman 2-4-4-2, but any loco would probably be close.
Thanks.
Building A Piece Of History Now: Thurmond West Virginia-Backdrops 10/29
I am working on a design for a small scene for demonstrating scenery and track work for out model railroad. It will be small (roughly 1ft. x 1ft. with the front curving) I am looking for design ideas and what an interesting scene would be. Any ideas from those on here?
Thanks for all of your suggestions everyone. Thurmand seemed like a good location and the below area is what we will model. It will include a cantilever signal seen on the right and the three buildings as low relief background structures.
Help - Looking for instructions
I have a Classic Miniatures 20' Ore Car that is missing instructions. This is an On3 Kit but any similar model would help. Thanks for looking 8-)

To All: This 50 foot Athearn boxcar is an unofficial paint scheme I came up with for the First Coat Model Railroad Society, in Jacksonville, Florida, with sixteen members. We are building a two level HO scale layout in a 50 foot deep storage facility. I painted and lettered the car. Herald art work and photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. 3D ... Preview Goes Review
Hi all,
a few weeks ago, in various forums I posted a first glimpse at my latest 3D-prints :)
Then came a rehab, and a vacation - together with one or another surprise ... so it took a little longer until I could take the photos and write down some words.
After testing the first items I found two worth printing, and sharing with other 0-scale narrow gaugers.
So these are available from Shapeways:
