Friday Video Fun - 3/11/11
Joe had suggested a "Friday Video Fun" thread to compliment the "Friday Photo Fun" threads. Since my layout is currently "disconnected" (I'm expanding and the track has been taken up in some areas) and since summer is around the corner I'm posting a "summer rerun" of a video I did previously. This video was a test of my new Muvi microcamcorder. O.K. you video nuts - let the posting begin!

Yes, the website crashed again. Sorry it took so long to get back up - our provider had difficulty accessing the machine in order to reboot it.
Where to place delayed magnets
I am going to have to use magnets to uncouple on some areas of my layout where I cannot reach. Is there any rule of thumb concerning where to place the magnet?
I know from experience that unexpected uncoupling can be a problem and I would like to avoid that if possible.
MRH Web site failure again circa 1 PM Pacific
We just had another nameserver failure on the MRH web site today - this time running on the non-ad-enabled version of the site.
While we don't like to see failures, this just established what we were wanting to prove to our current web hosting provider - the problems their systems, not our ad-enabled site.
ATTENTION: Site temporarily rolled back
We've temporarily rolled the web site look back to the last known stable version - we've had the new version of the site look go down at least half a dozen times in the last week.
We know what the problems are and are working on fixes, but it's going to take us a couple weeks to implement them all. In the meantime, we've rolled back to a version of the site that should be more stable.
Bachmann steam engine (ho) fireman side crank
The fireman side valve gear crank leans towards the cab, when it should lean to the front when the rods are down. Has any one been able to fix this? These engines look and run great, but this detail ruins a great loco.
MRH Logo picture no longer displays
I've got a link on my blog to Model Railroader Hobbyist magazine and since the changes to the MRH website the picture no longer displays - just the box (see below). What do I need to do to get a link with a picture to display?

How do I view a private message?
Got email notification of a message. When I click the link Access Denied but I am logged in. How do I see and respond to the message.
If I remove "contact" from the URL there isn't an error but I do not see a way to see the private message.
