MRH Website general discussion

Brick and Mortar websites.
Just a quick question for everyone to chime in on, especially hobby shop owners!
Question:
Why do most brick and mortar shops have such crappy websites! No information other than a phone number! No pictures of their business location both outside and inside! No photos of the staff or owner! If they have online shopping it is difficult to navigate at best, and most items are "out of stock".

50's Reference Pictures
I have been searching for more 1950's reference pictures relating to any west coast railroads.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or own any books they consider to be good references for the 1950's. I have googled the topic several ways and usually come up with basically the same content over and over.
I have books...but you can only buy so many when trying to balance the cost of books with purchase of DCC and other high ticket items.
I have also tried the library system but not much there either...small town.
Washington Northern Website
The last few times I tried to log onto the Washington Northern website, www.wnrr.net, I get a message that page can not be found. Does anyone know if Kevin is having trouble with the site? Did the address change?
Thank you

If the biggest problem anyone has is not being able to sell their house as quickly as they would like I think he or she should count their blessings. There must be hundreds of readers of the various posts who are daily confronted with REAL problems but think it inappropriate to whine about them in forums supposedly devoted to model railroading.Enough said!!

DC internal
Jake here, I have watched and built for 30+yrs and I want the latest confirms from you guys that have acid tested the battery powered rc engines. I would like you guys take on the HO stuff.
A little different - Real Operations - would your ops team organize this at home?
I suspect this is not approved for copyright, so view while you can. It's almost an hour's entertainment. So get comfortable first.

Question and I guess a gripe
When reading a topic, every time you advance a page you end up having to look at the same set of pictures and scroll down to get to the new posts. Why is that? It's quite annoying.
Thanks,
Peter

Your suggestions please for a radio scanner for rail fanning
I'm looking for suggestions to purchase a scanner for rail fanning and would appreciate your suggestions.

paragon 2 locos
G'day mates!
Raymond here from "down under".
Are there any issues running the Broadway Limited - Paragon2 locos. I use a DCC controloler from hornby, a pommy (English) firm who have a reputation for non complience. Do the Paragon2 things work OK with NCE or Digitrack?

MRH web host had a hardware failure
The MRH web host had a hardware failure and our website was down from roughly 10:30 PDT to 11:00 PDT.
It's back up now, and hopefully all is well again with the hardware at our web host's site.
