New to Omaha area
Hello,
I am new to the Omaha area, coming from the east coast about a month ago. Can anyone tell me what the good hobby shops are to visit, where there might be train layouts on display, and if/when a train show comes to the area and where?
Thank you,
Henry
HO Track
I am retired now and my wife and I want to spend some of our time building a new HO layout. It's been almost 50 years since I have been in the hobby. Things have really changed in those 50 years. I had the old brass track and now there is brass (not used much it appears), steel, and nickel silver.
Podcasts for Android
Are the recent podcasts available anywhere other than iTunes? I have not been able to get any of the new podcasts since December on my Android.
Downloading embedded edition of March MRH
I am trying load the latest issue onto my new laptop but it's not working. The embedded edition does not complete for some reason. I'v tried it three times and it always stops at exactly the same place when its 99 percent complete.
Help would be appreciated.

New scenery "How to" DVD posting - I can't find it
I know that it's right under my nose, but I can't seem to find it - the posting about the new offering of a DVD / download on a "How To" on scenery. I want to purchase it, so can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks
Rick
RSS feed for "Recent Posts" ?
First off, let me say that I love the ezine, and my limited interaction with the forums here has been excellent.
I'd like to increase that interaction, but here's my "dilemma". I have to remember to visit the site in order to see new posts, or see responses to my own posts. It would be great if there was an RSS feed for "Recent posts", and some sort of email notification when somebody responds to a post of mine (or one that I've commented on).

Maine Central Green!
MEC #52 Fresh out of the paint shops at Waterville, Maine. Nice to see that they are painting some locomotives in the old colors. Sorry the picture isn't all that clear but it is very overcast here today and was raining at the time I took this photo with my cell phone.

Prototypical return loop BLOB
I was bored and didnt feel like getting frustrated at my layout tonight, and I was fooling around with Google Earth, and found this pretty much in my backyard (actually 20 minutes north of me). It is a coal loading facility at Curtis Bay. it is served by CSX. So here is a prototypical answer to your turn back blobs.

A Lot Fewer Dead Trees
We so often discuss the future of ink and paper, a subject Joe and Charlie no doubt see as pointless because they already know or at least are betting on the outcome.
