MRH Website general discussion

Joe or Charlie
For Joe or Charlie
Looking at Feb Mag issue and usually I go directly to the articles I started at the cover this time and what caught my eye was Don Spiro's layout and what I saw there was as it looks to me is a retaining wall just across the tracks looking like granite cut stone. I believe these are cut pieces of floor linoleum tile painted or stained to look like rock cuts. Can anyone confirm.

MRH WANTED: Grand Rapids local modeler
MRH is looking for a modeler who is local to Grand Rapids who can help us with our convention presence this summer.
We always prefer to have a "local yokel" when we do major shows who can help us out. If we need errands run (like where's the nearest office supply store) or if we want to know where a good local food place is, having a local who knows the area can be a godsend.
my layout
It has been some time since I've posted here. The reason is because my railroad has come to an abruped stop. Just after xmas we were informed that we might have to move because of the business building on the land that I live on was foreclosed on. In Jan.

Help with pictures
I know how to add photos to my initial blog post, but how do I add photos to other posts. I have an updated photo of my weed car, but don't know how to add the picture.
Thanks,
Gary

Sponsor list?
What happened to the list of MRH sponsors? I wanted to go to Tam Valley's web site via MRH, but I cannot find a link unless I happen to get the ad somewhere on the page when I load it. There used to be a list of sponsors available on one page, but now the link just seems to go to a page about how to become a sponsor.
Have I missed something?
Next step for battery power ?
Tam Valley Depot is working on a new system for battery power using existing DCC equipment:

One man's SPAM is another man's ?????
Just a question on what happens to a post that I may have checked as being what I thought would be SPAM?
About 10 minutes ago there was a post about handbags and I marked it as Spam. I know the MODS will look at that and if it is deemed to not be Spam it will be 'unchecked'. If not does the post remain 'invisible' to everyone reading the posts?

Miniature Rock and Gravel
Love all the features this online magazine has. I have been in the hobby for many years, and recently started converting my layout over to DCC. In the process, I have decided to "revamp" some of the layout and add more trackage as well. In the past, I have gone up to the Cascade Sub above Oakridge, OR for the fine dirt that I found in the cuts at sidings like Heather, Fields and Wicopee.
posting pictures
I have some prototype pictures I would like to post. Can I post them on the discussion forum and if so how?
Thanks
Steve
