Diesel Locomotuve Weathering - Fire

I've been searching the internet for photos from modelers that have weathered a diesel as if it had caught on fire.  You see this all the time in real life, but I haven't seen where anyone have effectively modeled a locomotive this way.

Any examples out there?

What if Alco and Westinghouse had been influenced by a Swiss design?

BLI N&W J

I was curious if anyone who is running the BLI N&W J on straight

DC is having any problems? Mine constantly stalls. I've double

checked all connections. All my other engines run great except for the J.

Thanks

Model Railroad Planning 2014 CGW

Just picked up a copy of Model Railroad Planning 2014. Was amazed on the article of Jason Klocke's CGW layout. Anyone have more info on the layout? Would love to see a track plan and such.

10 year old steam engine - Leviathan #63 4-4-0

David Kloke of Kloke Locomotive Works LLC has built a 4-4-0 replica of the Leviathan #63 that pulled Lincoln's funeral train. He plans on replicating the 1600 mile tour from Washington DC to Springfield, Illinois next year in April.

This is the engine at Age of Steam Roundhouse: http://ageofsteamroundhouse.com/2014-02%20-%20Leviathan.html follow the link given in the news letter to learn more about this historic engine and the dedicated man behind it all.

Bluehost is down again

Bluehost is down again. Went down for several hours in November, again in December, now again in February (today).

This means all MRH ad links and TrainMasters TV are offline, although because of Cloud Edge technology, TrainMasters TV does sort of work using a replicated copy of the main site.

Bluehost is now on the list to be replaced as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience while we work with Bluehost to get things back online.

Lights on Athearn RTR GP40

I recently purchased a pair of Athearn RTR GP40's to run in consist on my Oregon Pass RR. I also purchased a pair of Tsunami TSU-AT1000 digital sound decoders. It seams that there are no sound decoders that will directly plug into the Athearn engine. HINT!

Lift section?

I just watched the latest post on Trainmasters TV, the Feb. Act II. What really grabbed me was the powered lift section from Mianne Benchwork. Has anyone seen this in person and do you have any idea of the price? I looked on their web site, but can't find a price. Based on the rest of their prices, I can't justify using them for all of my benchwork, but that lift section and mating sections on either side sure looks like a sweet solution for my entry.
