MRH Website general discussion
Filtering Posts
I use the "recent posts" page as my primary access to the website. On that page, we have options for "my recent posts", and "all recent Posts". An additional option would be nice - titled "all New Posts". It would have a subset of the "all Recent Posts", but only entries that have new posts would be listed. Is that possible, and is it of interest?

Embarrassing Moments (How many times have I bought that tool?)
Have you ever been looking for that tool or kit that you bought and found two, or three?
Im guilty of being on eBay and bidding on something that “I should have” - but already do and forgot!

MRH user numbers
If you hover over your user name on any post you make (just under the subject line) and look down at the text that comes up at the bottom of your screen, you can see your user number.
This came up on another thread but rather than go off-topic, there seems to be some interest on user numbers, so here's a new thread to have a little fun with this!
Wiring a turntable
Greetings
Does anyone have experience with wiring the P-1 turntable kit from Sierra Railroad Miniatures? (Yes I know it's old, but so am I) My plans are a small layout with one track to the turntable and six out to the roundhouse. The turntable will be hand power with no indexing. Wiring is not my strong suit. I appreciate any help you can give.

The MRH forum - like being in the wrong neighborhood after dark?
I get these emails once in a while. Here's the latest one -- I think it may merit us eating some humble pie.
The MRH forum has a somewhat negative pall hanging over it. It's not what I would call a friendly place, and certainly not one I would consider being on as an active poster. There are several bright spots -- Rick Wade and Rick Sutton, Mike Confalone, Geoff Bunza and the "Iowa Interstate Cartel" -- but these are not enough to counter the persistent, pervasive, cyclical, and almost predictable negative and condescending comments.

A portable benchwork - How to conciliate building a kit and be next to your spouse (very important !!!!)
This is my portable benchwork, it's like a portable tray.
I build it a few time ago, because my girlfriend find the time long when I dissappear in the basement and work at my workbench.

Modifying forum topic subject lines
You may have noticed that a few of the topics that have been called out as being vague, maybe even clickbait-y, now have an additional explanation in parentheses.
That was me.
The original authors can change them back if they wish but I would be interested in what people think of me "clarifying" subject lines like this - good idea, or "Heck no!"?
Using Chrome, and the cursor.
I've recently started using Chrome, and sometimes, when posting in here, I have trouble getting the cursor to appear. I usually have to close the site, and then come back on.
I even had trouble getting the cursor before I could type this.
Is it a Chrome thing? I've never experienced this with other bowsers, or, using Chrome, on other sites, only here in MRH.
Thanks,
Mike.
Weekly photo fun 3/25/19-4/1/29
It's that time for the photos to roll in again. Now, let's share the pics/videos we got.

2019 RPM-East
The RPM-East prototype modeler meet kicked off tonight with operating sessions at a number of layouts around Pittsburgh. I operated on Roy Ward's HO scale West Virginia Central & Pittsburgh Railroad and had a great time.
