Digitraxx or NCE, time for me to choose

The family is going to get me a DCC system for Christmas. It's finally time for me to choose which brand I'm going with.

About the only givens are expandable and wireless throttle.

For quite awhile I've always kinda thought Digitraxx was the direction.

I've had a guy make a case for NCE.

Help me understand.

Radicalized RS3m

I stumbled upon this critter recently and I think that my google-fu is lacking maybe as I cannot find many pictures and or information for this guy. I have been to RR archives and Don's photos but beyond that I am coming up empty for pictures especially anything overhead to show the hoods/roofs. Do any of you out there have further pictures and or proto type data/information on it?

My understanding is that Texas and Northern performed a rather radical modification of a RS3 to come up with this particular model.

Flextrack not stuck to caulk?

I notice that one of my spur tracks has about a foot of flextrack that has popped loose from the acrylic caulk. I've never had this problem before and usually have to use a knife blade under the ties to get flextrack loose from the caulk. I weighted it when installing and it looked fine at the time so I'm wondering what went wrong. Anyone else seen this happen? I'm wondering if the caulk was old or perhaps the flextrack had some mold release or other slippery surface contaminate?
