Scenery and structures

How do you attach structures to your layout?
A simple question, but whether it's a scratchbilt or kitbuilt and whether your layout is a temporary one or permanent, what are the best options for attaching a structure to the layout?
Examples:
1) Say you scracthbuild an award winner (in your mind) and would like to have it on the layout but also potentially have it travel in small display?
2) Say you're building a first small module that you know is only temporary and would love to reuse some structures you've built?
BOSCO figures
So, since the the 4th quarter issue came out, and I discovered BOSCO, along with all the other readers... I've ordered and received, and quickly reviewed the Sorfeetz brothers.

BOSCO has announced Uncle Sorfeetz and the retired diesel salesman too, which I just ordered today.

Creating Trees from a Butterfly Bush Flower
While on a trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains in NC and with the permission of the owner I clipped several flowers from a Butterfly Bush growing next to our cabin. It was apparent that the bush was close to the end of its flowering season. While the flowers grow sideways, they have a very nice cone shape. They ranged in size from 4 to 8 inches. On the larger ones, the "bottom" tended to be a bit sparse, but this should not be a problem.
Telephone polls
Friends:
I am building a new town. I can't figure out how to get my telephone lines to make a right hand or left hand turn without looking ridiculous. I've driven all over my county to find an example and have not found one.

Scratchbuilding concrete bridge abutments
Hey gang:
I'm starting to think about my strategy for modeling a through truss bridge on my HO scale layout. This will be a freelanced bridge, but the main prototype I'm using for guidance is this one on the former GTW near Bridgeport, MI.

filler material
I just have a quick question about assembling plastic structures. I just finished the Cornerstone "United Petroleum Refinery", and am not happy with the finished model. Everything went together quite well (even my first experience with etched brass parts), but on the towers and chimney, there are lines where the two halves butted up. The lines show even after paint was applied. I tried using WS Flex Paste to smooth and fill the seams, but it didn't work very well.
Fly Swatter Static Grass Applicator
Well, I finished my build of the Fly Swatter Applicator. Overall this was the least expensive build of the three I did and it was also the simplest build I did.
Here are a couple of pics of the finished product.

Weathering N scale concrete tie track
Hi everybody!
I´m going to set the main line track of my layout that will be Peco code 55 concrete tie. I´ve read a lot about weathering wood tie track (jus like Tim Warris' wonderfull article on the last MRHM iusse) but I cannot find any about paint and weathering the concrete track. If you use this kind of track how do you wheather it? Do you paint the ties?
Thank you for your advises.
Regards!!

SUPER TREES Questions
Joe or anybody that has used Super Trees.
I just received 2 ea of their 1/4 Bushel boxes of super Trees and rolling around in the boxes were thousands of little tiny black seeds and I noticed there were still alot of these seeds on the little trees. I took all the loose seed and put them in a germination planter terrarium to see if they will grow. has anybody ever tried this? are these seeds good or will these seeds grow in to Super Trees? Or am I the first to try this?Since I live in a colder climate then I may have a chance
