Strange Modelling Idea
I was browsing the web and found this odd patent image, Included is one of the image and the link to more. This seems like a cool modeling project (and simple at the same time)

Colorado Front Range end of year update
Big change after a brain storm on setting up a Turntable and Roundhouse.Locomotive facilities are starting to take shape. Using .040 Plastic sheet 27" by 8 feet to cove the comers. New signs have arrived at the Layout to label towns and area.
Converting a Williams by Bachmann GE 44 ton switcher from 3 rail to 2 rail
You can find already quite a number of examples on the internet how to convert the trucks to 2-rail. I have used 33" from NWSL. As insulation I used Evergreen 1/8" tube. For the ones willing to try note that the inner diameter is a touch to small so you have to "hand drill" it to the right size.
I made the current pickups from 0.5 mm brass wire. Just enough stiffness to keep a firm contact with the wheels without to much pressure. Here below the new wheels already mounted
Them's the brakes, Laying down the law on the BNML
I'd been considering a set of Instructions and "Rules" for operators on my layout previously and an operator at my most recent op session brought this topic back to mind.
As a result, I've made significant progress compiling a set of "rules" for the BNML. These "rules" are an add-on to my previous efforts regarding Car Control: Paperwork on the BNML.
My Model Bench
My first blog post ....so please bear with me.
Some pics of my model bench I built over the Christmas and New Years holiday weekends of 2014.
The first pic is of the old model workbench I had at the old house........at my new house it now holds the computer.
Now the pics of the new model bench.
TT Scale Disconnect Log Buggies
In my blog on building the Otter Creek Falls Coal & Lumber RR I mentioned I needed to build some disconnect log buggies. I'm going to use this blog for that purpose so the layout building can be kept separate from the discussion that may arise from this subject.
I'll keep this post short so it you don't have to scroll through a lengthy begining.

Digging in at the Swapmeet: A Shovel to look at Twice!
We had a swap meet here in Tucson this weekend and I had a most wonderful time, having been away from swap meets for over a year due to my line of work. Swap meets may be hit or miss if you're looking for something specific, but one thing I love about swap meets is the fact that I get to see all the things I normally don't search for on Ebay. Things like models made for other scales!
