Some Great News (for me and maybe you too)

If you read the title you may realize not everyone will enjoyed y this but I am one great step, closer in model railroading. I emailed three major manufacturers on the subject of product review samples. I have so far heard back from BLI anf Atlas asking for more information. So hopefully in the near future I will be posting product reviews for those interested. The best part of all of this though is one: I can share some information on products and tWo: FREE STUFF

Benchwork analysis paralysis

Logically I would wait until I had a relatively finalized track plan but since the train room also serves as storage (underneath and possible above) and laundry room, I have to move forward on that front.

I have acquired single track shelving and "16 brackets like below

Last of the Fascia Control Panels completed...

Today I worked on creating the last of the Fascia Panels for the layout.

This panel is the Carlisle Junction panel and is the major interchange between Conrail/Reading & Chessie System/D&H railroads.

ARZC Layout Update

It has been a long time since my last update.  Part of that is due to an addition to our family, we had our first child at the beginning of July, she takes up most of our time, but it is wonderful.  I've been working where I can on the layout, mainly getting the subroadbed, roadbed and mainline track installed as well as getting some rough cut fascia put up.  I now have a fully functional mainline loop for a continuous run, just need to cut the circuit breakers in when I get there.

Artist inspired by model railroad scene

In many model railroad forums, including MRH, you find discussions on whether or not model railroading could be considered a kind of art. Anyway, here is an example that a model railroad layout could at least inspire people to create a piece of art. The picture below, I got from Russian dieselpunk artist Inago.

Messed up ad links

I was browsing the MRH sponsors and noticed the links were wrong, for example there are two concors but one isn't, also Es laser kits takes you to Traintek. Just though I would let you know (and see if it was just me)
