Whoops
As part of my CN tank hopper project <http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/25805> I was looking through my slides for detail shots of the brake piping. My four year old "helped" organize them for me yesterday. Note to self: don't leave slide boxes sitting on a chair...

LifeColor Liquid Pigments
Hi All
This week I tried out something I'd heard about on YouTube - Lifecolor Liquid Pigments. They are like pigments but a paint. Sounds odd but worth checking out.
See you next week

Virginian & Appalachian Route Map 2.0
Hello Everyone,
After some time spent looking at my existing map and routings of the Virginian & Appalachian railway, I've decided to make some revisions. Some of these revisions involved adjusting existing routes to provide more accurate mileage, however, a large part of the revisions had to do with actually replacing existing routings with new ones. For example, I ended up changing the V&A main-line across the entire state of West Virginia as well as the mountain crossings through the Blue Ridge and Cumberland ranges of the Appalachians.
Wondering about the Process of Photo Etching
I'd appreciate learning about the creation of photo etched detail parts for diesels. Something that took me through the process of image creation, processing, scaling and through the complete production to a finished piece.
It seems that with better tooling and 3d printing this may become a process that falls in the shadows but I believe still is relevant.
Any advice? Anyone with experience?

Rocky Times on the BNML - Making my own ballast
Not much has happened on the BNML for quite some time,
but I had a chance over the past month to play with making my own ballast.

Operations on the P&SF
My layout may not have the coolest scenery - actually no no scenery than painted plywood)
My layout may not be complete.
My layout may have lots of temporarily solutions.
But I have had the pleasure to host many op sessions, the last one a couple of weeks ago.
For me it is nothing like when the layout come alive when friends head down in the basement and operate on my P&SF layout.
I have just updated my P&SF blog with pictures from that night and some other stuff.
Great Northern Divisions (corrections)
I apologize for my absence in posting my blog entries. Shortly after my last posting in regards to the divisions (namely the 6, 7, 8 & 9th divisions) I discovered that they were flawed, What I presumed to be the proper divisions for the Great Northern Railway was indeed the recent divisions of the BNSF. This prompted me to seek the correct information. I had hoped to find a map highlighted or shaded for the different divisions.
